Generally, a Limited-Edition Fine Art Print is a high-quality, collectible reproduction of an original photograph that is produced in a strictly limited quantity. Once the total number of prints in the edition has been sold, no more will ever be produced in that exact size, format, and finish.
Each print in the edition is signed and numbered by the artist to confirm its authenticity and place in the series (for example, 7/25) and it may also include a Certificate of Authenticity.
What makes these prints “fine art” is not just the limited quantity but also the quality of materials and production: archival inks, quality paper, and professional printing techniques that ensure the artwork’s longevity and visual impact.
Collecting a limited-edition print means you are investing in a piece that is both artistically meaningful and inherently exclusive—created with care, intended to last, and never mass-produced.
My Artisan and Collector Fine Art Prints are both crafted with the same professional-grade materials and attention to detail, but they differ significantly in exclusivity, certification, and long-term collectability.
Artisan prints represent the premium tier of my Fine Art Prints. Starting at $65.00, these prints are produced in small limited editions. Once an edition is sold out, the image is permanently retired and will never be reissued as a Fine Art Print in any size, finish, or variation. Each Artisan print is hand-signed and paired with a Certificate of Authenticity that includes detailed information such as the title, caption, and edition number (e.g., 12/40).
To further ensure authenticity, serialized hologram stickers—tamper-proof and unique to each print—are affixed to both the back of the print and the certificate. These holograms are registered with MyArtRegistry.com, creating a digital record that helps safeguard the print from forgery and enhances long-term value for collectors.
In contrast, the Collector tier is more accessible; starting at $25.00, their limited edition run is much larger than prints in the Artisan tier. While they are also hand-signed and come with a Certificate of Authenticity, they do not include hologram stickers or digital registry. This makes them ideal for art lovers looking to enjoy gallery-quality work at a more approachable price point.
Despite these distinctions, both Artisan and Collector prints are printed in-house using the same archival pigment inks and museum-grade Hahnemühle paper, ensuring rich color depth, fine detail, and longevity. They are available in standard framing sizes & packaged with care. All orders are shipped via USPS Mail; U.S. orders over $99 ship free via USPS Priority Mail. Orders under $99 ship via USPS Ground Advantage with a flat shipping fee of $8.99.
In short, prints in the Artisan tier are tailored for collectors who value exclusivity and authentication. In contrast, Collector prints offer a beautiful, high-quality option for those new to collecting or looking to purchase fine art at a more flexible price point. Both embody the same level of craftsmanship, but Artisan prints add additional layers of certification and security that distinguish them from not only Collector tier prints but other limited-edition offerings in the market.
